Professor Kachnowski is a leading scholar, educator, and researcher in the field of healthcare technology management having taught at Columbia University and now teaching onsite and remotely as a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology- Delhi, in New Delhi, India. He has taught, implemented and published in the field of ehealth and telemedicine for the past 18 years, authoring over 100 scholarly works and presentations for the world's leading medical societies and organizations. His research focuses on using statistical models and large databases to demonstrate whether or not technology improves the access and quality of healthcare around the world. Recent grants include studying the impact of information technologies in the physician's office, hospital, pharmacy, managed care organization, and clinical development groups. Last year he was named to the Editorial Board of the International Journal of E-government and Policy in India. He was also recently elected to England's Royal Society of Medicine for his research on an internet based national hemophilia registry. In 2003 he received a Dean's letter of commendation for excellence in teaching from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. |
