Jennifer Amys

Jennifer Amys has a successful track record of driving complex ERP and technology initiatives within dynamic Fortune 500 environments.

Prior to co-founding UpNet, Amys held the position of Chief Information Officer at Rockwell Automation, a $4 billion leader in electronic controls, industrial automation, avionics and electronic commerce employing 19,000 people from more then 450 locations in 80 countries. Amys came to Rockwell from CH Robinson Worldwide, a third-party logistics company with sales of $7.5 billion+. At Robinson, Amys served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer where she managed more than 120 branch offices worldwide including Europe, South Africa, Asia, and South America. She has also held prominent information technology positions with Quaker Oats Company, Pillsbury Company, Burlington Northern Railroad, Control Data Corporation, and General Mills.

Amys holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Taiwan.

 

Vicki Crowley

Founder & Vice President Product Strategy

As chief product strategist, Vicki Crowley is responsible for the overall product direction of UpNet Technologies. Crowley is one of the pioneers in electronic data exchange and has seen it grow from mainframes, through PC's, and to the Internet.

Prior to co-founding UpNet, Crowley implemented electronic commerce and data exchange at GE Information Services for a myriad of Fortune 500 clients over two decades. Crowley is an expert at creating "usability" versus "technology" driven solutions that expand productivity and business efficiencies by simplifying complex work processes. Crowley created UpNet's underlying technology by automating the heretofore manual, complex, and expensive process of translating data between ERP systems.

Crowley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Taiwan.

 

 

Albert Respress

Advisory board member

Albert Respress directs and reviews UpNet in its approach and development of security related initiatives.

A retired Air Force Lt. Colonel, Mr. Respress was responsible for the Air Force wide security forces contingency operational requirements program. Mr. Respress has extensive experience directing and managing security forces engaged in carrying out Force Protection for worldwide deployment, planning and contingency management of the Air Force non-lethal weapons program, security forces equipment management, and development of new technology to meet existing and future security needs.

Mr. Respress holds a Master degree in Criminal Justice and is a member of the American Society of Industrial Security.

John Hammitt

Advisory board member

John Hammitt directs and reviews UpNet in its business development approach.

Hammitt was President of e-JNJ, Johnson & Johnson's Operating Company formed in April 2000 to build and rapidly grow new innovative e-Health businesses. Previous to this role, he was their VP of Business Development and a Member of the Board at Johnson & Johnson. Hammitt also has worked as Senior VP for Giga Information Group, VP Information Systems for United Technologies, VP Information Systems for Pillsbury, and IM for Morton Thikol Corporation.

John has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a MBA in Marketing & Finance from the University of Chicago. John has been an active member of community and professional activities including serving as President of the Society for Information Management (SIM International).

Professor S.W. Kachnowski

Professor Kachnowski is a leading scholar, educator, and researcher in the field of healthcare technology management, having taught at Columbia University and now teaching onsite and remotely as a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology- Delhi, in New Delhi, India.  He has taught, implemented, and published in the field of ehealth and telemedicine for the past 18 years, authoring over 100 scholarly works and presentations for the world's leading medical societies and organizations.

His research focuses on using statistical models and large databases to demonstrate whether or not technology improves the access and quality of healthcare around the world.  Recent grants include studying the impact of information technologies in the physician's office, hospital, pharmacy, managed care organization, and clinical development groups.

Last year Professor Kachnowski was named to the Editorial Board of the International Journal of E-government and Policy in India. He was also recently elected to England's Royal Society of Medicine for his research on an internet based national hemophilia registry. In 2003, he received a Dean's letter of commendation for excellence in teaching from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
